ArchiOffice Discussion > Staff time budget overview
PG,
1) Actually, we don't ask you to guess the hourly rate. It's calculated for you based on the fee and budget. We don't think that entering an hourly rate - even if it is just an average is a very good way to develop a budget. We simply show you the average that is the result of the hours and the budget for firms that consider this valuable. Personally, I believe one should use our Checklist system to estimate the hours needed to complete the necessary work for each phase. By entering the budgeted dollars - you might be able to look at the average $/hour to see if it meets your expectation.
2)We are at work on a "burn rate" feature which will be able to take the current project fees and spread them out based on the general project schedule This feature is expected in the 3rd quarter '08,
Steve

Your software sure looks good. I am looking at purchasing for our office of 10. Can you please advise if it is possible to do a number of things...
1) It seems that when you are budgeting fees and time for a project you have to guess and average hourly rate and plug it in. It seems remarkable that this would be the case with all of the sophistication of the timesheet and budgeting systems. Is this the case?
2) Can you display staff project and time allocations (say) six months into the future in an easily digestible chart?
