Our RFI system is now in place in ArchiOffice v8.6.
We also have a Drawing Log in v8.6 which allows you to add the actual documents (i.e. PDF's, jpegs...), that you want to the log.

So when is v8.6 being released?
It sounds like it has all the good stuff!
v8.6 was released in the end of November (2 months ago).
Peter, could you let us know what the other two are of the three that you are reviewing?

I can only find references to Archioffice v8.5 on the website - nothing regarding 8.6. Where can we find info on the latest version.

If you are an existing customer you should have received an email announcing v8.6 and a link to the ftp site to pick it up. You are able to access the update by going to the ArchiOffice Help pull-down menu and select "Check fo Software Updates."
If you did not receive the email and are the administrator of your firms ArchiOffice solution, please contact our support department at support@orangeloft.com and let them know that you did not receive the update info.

I am looking a number of document management / office management systems for architects. Currently archioffice in in the top three... One of my four main criteria is a way of managing issued drawings and documents (and automating the transmittal process)
Does Archioffice have this function?
Basically we create a pdf file of issued documents (drawings and reports, sketches). I would like to be able link these files to a document register so that we can easily transmitt or print the latest issue of the documents and also easily find previous issues of the documents.
The RFI log on noted earlier on the discussion list would also be useful.
