ArchiOffice Discussion > Support for Vista?
Yes, v9 will be Vista compliant. However, Archioffice does run under Vista. However there are a few features (document management and sync services that are not functional).
I get an "EventScript plugin is not installed blah blah...." then "...database cannot run without version 1.1 of the plugin.". Then I get booted out.
Anyone got version 1.1 lying around? Just being able to do my timesheets would be fine for now.
What I did when I got a Vista laptop computer was this... I tried to install off the original ArchiOffice disk and got as far as I could. Then I copied my ArchiOffice & Filemaker folders from my Window XP machine to my Vista machine and it seemed to work. (I don't do Outlook, so obviously I have no idea if those features work.)
thanks for that tip... just spotted it ;-)
AO v8 runs fine on Vista 64 now that I've followed your tip - no Outlook syncing but that has never worked properly for me anyway.
I had been running AO on XP in Virtual PC on Vista 64 which was faster than on XP (as a single user) but surprisingly it runs even faster under Vista 64 - unless not installing the datavations outlook add-ins makes any difference?
(I wouldn't have thought so?).

Will V9 run on Vista, and if so, when can we expect to expect it? Currently running two computers (one with XP) as AO seems to be the only program I use that doesn't run on Vista. Just a wee bit frustrating....
